Every Nokia handset comes with a default security code which is 12345. This security code is used every time you want to lock your cell phone to avoid any unauthorized access to it or whenever you want to reset your mobile. Because, the default code use to be known to all Nokia users, you may want to change this default security code the one you want such that no one could know it. Let us see how to set your own security code in Nokia s40 series mobile phones.










Here is the procedure below:



Step 1: Go to your mobile Menu and select Settings.




Step 2: Under Settings, select Security.


Step 3: Now, go to Access Codes.


Step 4: Under Access Codes, select Change Security Code and you will be asked to enter the current security code, which is 12345 by default. First enter the default security code and then enter the new security code for your mobile phone.
